Cambodian Communities out of Crisis

Oswestry, Shropshire

Since our foundation in 1994, Cambodian Communities out of Crisis have been raising funds to support small-scale projects in Cambodia. We have helped children and young people attend good-quality schools, colleges and universities. We support a sports programme that helps keep youngsters out of the clutches of drug pushers and criminal gangs. We are constantly looking for ways to help the poor and needy, widows and orphans. We believe in the transforming power of Jesus Christ in the lives of individuals, communities and nations, so we work in partnership with churches and Christian people, but we are happy to assist anyone in genuine need, whatever their beliefs are. Decades after the civil war and genocide of the 1970s, Cambodia is still a country with much poverty. The gap between rich and poor has widened steadily, and many families are mired in debt or have been left behind in the scramble to raise their standard of living. We realise that we cannot hope to solve all Cambodia's problems and inequalities, but we can change one life at a time.
