Mildmay Hospital

London, Greater London

MILDMAY is a pioneering HIV charity delivering quality care and treatment, prevention work, rehabilitation, training and health systems strengthening in the UK, sub-Saharan Africa and Eastern Europe.

Since 1998, Mildmay has also had a huge impact overseas, delivering HIV services to those in greatest need. We continue to support our local NGOs in Kenya and Uganda.

In 2020, we began a ground-breaking service in the UK, providing step-down, rehabilitative healthcare for people who are homeless or rough-sleeping and recuperating from illness or injury.

In 2022, we launched the REBUILD Pathway, and in 2023, the specialist neurorehabilitation Neuro 2B Pathway.

In 2024, the London Overground line from Stratford to Clapham Junction/Richmond was named the Mildmay line by Transport for London and the Mayor of London in recognition of our work during the HIV/AIDS crisis of the 1980s and ‘90s, which has made the hospital “the valued and respected place for the LGBTQ+ community it is today”.
