“The proposition is simple”
Kevin explained how BuytoGive was created to meet the growing demand for more ethical, values-led shopping experiences.
“The proposition is simple, times are tough and not everyone has spare funds to donate to charities, schools, sports associations etc, but they still want to support them,” he told ChannelX.
BuytoGive allows supporters to do exactly that; shop as they normally would, while generating a donation for their chosen cause. Every charity, school, or community group gets its own online store, and the donation comes from BuytoGive’s share of the product cost, not from extra charges to the customer.
A New Model of Fundraising
“For charities, this is amazing,” Kevin said. “A relatively small charity with a following of around 5,000 could generate in the region of £9,000 annually… and larger charities with more followers will naturally generate many times more.”
It’s a fundraising model designed to be inclusive, sustainable and built for today’s world; where more people are shopping online and looking for ways to give back without being asked to give more.
